E mmanuel from Pastor Kurt Busiek

E  mmanuel  from Pastor Kurt Busiek

As with many funerals, it was a cloudy, rainy day. The deceased was a little old man who had devoted 55 years to a nagging wife that he loved deeply.  When the graveside service was over, there was a tremendous burst of thunder accompanied by a distant lightning bolt and more rumbling thunder.  The little old man looked at the pastor and calmly said,  "Well, she's there."

Sadly, many Christians are known more by their grumbling and gossip than by their gratitude and grace.  This Thanksgiving let’s look for creative ways to express our thankfulness to God and to one another.

I pray your Thanksgiving gatherings this week are blessed by God’s joy and happiness.

Psalm 136: 1   “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.  His love endures forever.”
