Thanks to all those who made our Palm Sunday contata“CALVARY’S LOVE” a big success. Many thanks to all of the participants, including the singers, actors, sound technicians, our accompanist, and of course our loving and supportive congregation. The choir counts it a privilege to tell the story of our Lord’s life through music. This is one way that they use their God-given gifts to enhance His kingdom. They greatly appreciated your attendance and support.
Chancel Choir and Praise Team will take a much earned break. Women of EBC will provide leadership in worship.
Nathan Leonard in worship April 13 The church is in for a real treat on April 13 when Nathan Leonard and Chris Redmond will team up to lead musical worship at our 8:30 and 10:45 services. You may remember Nathan’s visit in February when he played the piano and sang for our morning worship. His marvelous musical gifts presented from his heart brought us into the very presence of God. Don’t miss this opportunity!
TAJ ROHR CONCERT April 20 On Sunday evening, Taj Rohr will present a concert at 6 p.m in the sanctuary. His contemporary Gospel style coupled with his youthful enthusiasm for Christ will make for an uplifting and inspirational evening. A freewill offering will be taken. He will also be present in our morning worship services to do a solo and invite us back for the evening.
ATTENTION ALL CANCER SURVIVORS! SURVIVORS' CELEBRATION CHOIR AT RELAY FOR LIFE
Did you hear the neat news? The Relay For Life Survivors Committee has been working on some creative ways to get people involved at our relay on May 16-17 this year. They are inaugurating a SURVIVOR'S CELEBRATION CHOIR, which will consist only of cancer survivors! Could you let me know of singers who are cancer survivors? I am picking music that I feel would be accessible to an average singer--nothing difficult. I'm thinking about the Black Gospel piece entitled "He Never Failed Me Yet" and one other one, of a more reverent style. We would sing on Friday eve, May 16, at the opening ceremonies I am not sure if we'll have 30 or 100 singers, but I definitely want this to be an INclusive experience. Cancer survivors who want to express their joy and gratitude to God for life should not be held back! Help me spread the word! Thanks, Judy
MUSIC MINISTRY TEAM MEETINGS The "luncheon" meetings will be on Sundays following church in the Fellowship Hall on the following dates: April 13, June 8, August 10, and October 12.
