EBC Kids
Emmanuel Baptist Church is a family of believers dedicated to investing in the lives of children (birth to fifth grade). We strive to provide an environment in which children come to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ.
It is the prayer of this church that the children here would come to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a relationship that will transform their life journey. We commit to coming alongside children and their families in order to foster and grow that relationship.
Our children’s ministry is supervised by our Director of Children’s Ministries, Mrs. Jenny Hannan, and supported and run by an amazing team of volunteers! We offer a combined nursery and toddler class, a preschool class, and a K-5th grade class.
During the Sunday 10:45 a.m. worship service, we offer:
- care for babies to two/three years old in the nursery/toddler room (first floor).
- older children, three years through 5th grade, are in the sanctuary with parents until after the children’s moment, and then are welcome to exit to their respective class for children’s worship – parents are welcome to attend with them if they like
- preschoolers go to the preschool room (first floor) for Bible stories, crafts, snacks and music time
- Kindergarteners thru 5th graders go to the children’s chapel (second floor) for a worship experience that includes music, Bible lessons, games, crafts, and prayer.
- the children share music with the congregation during the worship service periodically
Awana & TeamKID
With an unwavering commitment to the gospel, Emmanuel utilizes the Awana and TeamKID (Kids In Discipleship) curriculums on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year (6 to 7:30 p.m.) to guide kiddos into a growing relationship with Jesus as they learn to know, love and serve Him for a lifetime.
Both the Awana and TeamKID ministry are guided by the principles of being gospel centered, focused on key scripture memory, and plenty of kid fun!
We are committed to instilling God’s Word into the hearts of our children through the loving and focused ministry of our volunteer staff. We would love to have you and your child join us soon!
Awana Cubbies (ages 3 to 5) and TeamKID (K thru 5th grade) meet Wednesday evening from 6:00-7:30 p.m. throughout the school year. Enter through the fellowship hall doors on Joan Street.
Awana Cubbies celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son, and His Word. Your kiddo will learn basic truths about God, Jesus and salvation through fun handbooks, Bible stories, picture teaching cards, crafts, music, and more.
TeamKID is designed for Kids in Discipleship! It features Bible memory games, application of Bible truths, engaging missions videos and activities, and fun activity-based learning all while helping your kids grow to be more like Jesus.
- We support Camp Cowen and take kids to various camps each summer. For more information go here: http://www.campcowen.org/
- Vacation Bible School will take place during one week of summer vacation annually.
- The children’s team supports family fun times through the year, such as a church wide picnic in September, a fall outing, and various other family nights and activities.
