Pastor Kurt came to Emmanuel in 2001 from Clarksburg. He grew up in Springfield, MO. He went to college at Missouri State University; graduate school at Gordon Conwell in MA; and got his doctorate at Palmer in PA. He is married to Mona (since ’82) and has four grown children: Michelle, Stephanie (and Blake, Kurt (and Amber) and Becca. Pastor Kurt has been involved in vocational ministry since 1985. His desire is to know Christ and to make Him known.

Jonathan has been on staff at Emmanuel since September of 2013. Prior to that he served as the Youth Pastor/High School Pastor at Calvary Chapel Gwinnett in Buford, Georgia for nine years. He received his B.A. in Christian Education/Youth Ministry from Toccoa Falls College in 2004, and is currently working toward his Masters of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary. He has been happily married to his wife, Maria, since May, 2005 and they have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Elena and Alexandra (Allee). Jonathan’s heart and passion is to teach Scripture and disciple those who desire to grow deeper in their dedication and love for Jesus Christ. His ministry is founded on the principle of Ephesians 4:11-15, that God has called pastors to equip the saints for lives of ministry and completion in Christ, grounded in the truth of Scripture and able to stand against the challenges of this life until we are all brought to full unity in the fulfilled promises of God’s Kingdom.

Terri is a graduate of Parkersburg High School and Mountain State Business College. She worked at a local chemical plant (Cytec Industries/American Cyanamid in Willow Island, WV) for over 33 years in various Executive Secretarial, Administrative Assistant and Customer Service positions and took an early retirement in 2009. After her daughter Meghan (who is a Registered Nurse and a doTERRA Wellness Advocate) got married, she decided to return to work and joined the staff at Emmanuel in 2016 as Office Secretary. She feels blessed to work in such a wonderful environment and feels every day is an opportunity to serve God. She has a 5 month old granddaughter, Aurora.

Pamela McClain, Director of Music Ministry, has also taught choral music in the public schools for 32 years. She holds a BA from Alderson Broaddus University, MA from Marietta College and a Reading Certification from WVU. She is currently the WV Vocal Music Association Treasurer, Regional Solo and Ensemble Festival Chairperson and Regional High School All State Chorus Chairperson. She is the recipient of the Alderson Broaddus Outstanding Alumni Award; the Mid-Ohio Valley National Arts and Letters Achievement Award; the Wood County Teacher of the Year; and the WV Vocal Music Association Teacher of the Year. She, most recently, was selected as a finalist for the Grammy’s National Music Educator of the Year. Pam directs the EBC chancel choir, coordinates special music presenters and oversees the EBC Children’s Choir. She believes that music is a vital part of worship and that all church musicians are servants whose purpose is to glorify the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Pam is married to Steve. They have one daughter, Merideth, who is a WVU cheerleader studying Music Therapy.
