Best “Dinner Dates” Series for Couples
Invest in your relationship as our guest at The Marriage Course! This international series of “Dinner Theater Dates” is based on excellent psychological and Biblical principles to strengthen relationships whether you have been married a while or just considering marriage. The In-person Dates create a time and space for intimate conversations at “Chez Emmanuel”. No group work / interaction. On-site Childcare can be arranged. More info? The Marriage Course is 7 consecutive Friday evening “Dinner Dates” offered each year starting the 4th Friday in January.
In-person: 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.
Couples enjoy superb meals at their own “table-for-two” in a lovely, relaxed setting to privately watch and discuss excellent videos. Hosts: Keith & Eileen Mayer (304.834.2563). Limited tables, call soon. *There is a fee and waivers are available.
Online: 7:45p.m. – 9:45p.m.

The Pre-Marriage Course is 5 consecutive Friday evening “Dinner Dates” offered each year starting the 1st Friday in Febuary.
In-person: 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.
Just as fine as The Marriage Course yet tailored to couples considering marriage. Hosts: Joe and Sarah Stephens. Limited tables, so reserve quickly!

We value Missions Ministry, Education, and Support at Emmanuel based on Jesus’ example and command in his Great Commission found in Matthew 28: 18-20:
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
11% percent of every offering goes to support a number of missionaries, local ministries, and the ministries of the West Virginia Baptist Convention.
Local and Domestic Missions
We partner with many local missions in the Parkersburg area, including:
Habitat for Humanity: We support Habitat through our mission budget, and members are encouraged to volunteer to help build new houses for low income families in our area. For more info: habitatmov.com
Salvation Army: We support the Salvation Army through our mission budget. In addition, various groups within our church family provide and serve Sunday lunch at the mission on a regular basis. For more info: www.salvationarmyusa.org.
Old Man Rivers (in south Parkersburg): We support Old Man Rivers through our mission budget, and donate food to help with their meal ministry. For more info call: 304 428 6677
Women’s Care Center: We support the Women’s Care Center through our mission budget, and members are encouraged to volunteer. For more info: yourpregnancychoices.com
Latrobe Street Mission: We offer emergency shelter services, sober living facilities, and services for homeless adults and children in the MOV. For more info: latrobestreetmission.org
International Friendships, Inc.: We partner with local churches and universities to provide life- changing hospitality and friendship to international students. We work to extend God love globally- right where we are. For more info: ifipartners.org
Young Life: We are devoted to introducing adolescents to Jesus and helping them grow in their faith. For more info: younglife.org

West Virginia Baptist Convention
We support the West Virginia Baptist Convention and their related ministries, and outreaches such as Camp Cowen and the Parchment Valley Retreat Center. For more information about the WVBC: http://www.wvbc.org/

International Missions
Our church family supports eight full-time missionaries in different parts of the world.
We support each of these missionaries through our mission budget. We also try to support each missionary in person by planning an international mission trip every other year.
Our current missionaries include:
